My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Benji!

Hello, my name is Benji. I am about 11 years old and weigh just 13 lbs. I have lived with my brother Charlie most of my life, so I will be adopted with him. I guess they call us a bonded pair or something like that. Well, I am bonded to him, so they are not wrong. Our adoption fee is for the both of us.

My foster parents said we are both super easy to care for and that we are both so easy to fall in LOVE with. We are both very sweet, love to cuddle and be held. Our foster mom said she would call us Velcro dogs or say that we are her shadow. Wherever she is we are sure to be not far behind! We just have so much love to give that we just do not want to miss out on any opportunity to share it.

I am more than willing to stay in bed late and cuddle with you. I am a chill kind of guy and am happy just sitting next to you, no need for strenuous activities, that is too much for me. I will go for a walk to check the mail with you, but no mile long walks or anything. I enjoy car rides as well!

I was recently diagnosed with a heart murmur & take some medicine for that. Because of the meds I have had to start wearing a belly band while in the house. I do not mean to have accidents, but I do sometimes & cannot help it. My meds & heart murmur will need to be mentioned to your vet so they can keep an eye on it.

Charlie & I are both house trained and crate trained, and we get along well with other dogs, and even cats! We have not met kids in our foster home yet, but hopefully soon! I bet if they are nice to us, we will love them! We are both very sweet and have all the love to give our people!

We promise not to cause you any trouble. Maybe you have space for us in your hearts & home?

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
