Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS IS A GUEST POST:
This cat is looking for a new foster. Sophie was originally trapped for TNR. She is a small, semi-feral cat, approximately 2 yrs, 8.5 lbs, Silver Tabby, healthy (her combo/snap test was negative). Here are notes from her foster mom who can no longer keep her due to construction in the home: “Sophie waits and meets me at the hallway door when I arrive with her meals. She greets me with a few meows and usually a little hiss because she’s still wary. After she eats she hangs out within a couple feet of me, cleaning herself, stretching, using her scratcher, and sitting on her little rug by the door while I’m with her. She will eat from my hand and especially loves Churu treats; however, she is not comfortable being touched or petted yet and will give a hard swat. She loves playing with Hot Cats catnip “sausage links” has very recently started also playing with a mouse toy on a wand. She has also begun purring loudly while she’s playing. So this is a huge step for her! She likes both canned food and kibble, eats twice a day and her digestion appears to be fine, regular every day. She’s very neat and clean with her litter box. Sophie will be fine with someone who won’t mind a kitty who initially keeps to herself. It does appear that she will warm up more with patience and time. She needs things to happen in a predictable, routine manner and is visibly more relaxed when the patterns are consistent. Since she came from a colony, we think she would do better if she lives with other cats. She hasn’t been around other cats since being trapped, except a neighborhood cat who visits with her through the security screen door. Her home needs to be escape proof.” Since she was initially intended for release back to a feral colony, Sophie was ear tipped. She must be adopted as an indoor only cat.
