My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Spence, a sweet Australian Shepherd whom just wants to please my humans. I am 2 years old, and would do best in a home with older teenage children and no cats. Whether that's with laughter at my crazy antics, snuggles and kisses, or by performing a few tricks, I try so very hard to make sure the people around me are happy. I am true to my breed and need a forever home that understands how intelligent I am and all the work that goes with my breed. I love to play Frisbee or ball outside but I settle down nicely inside. I've picked up some previous bad habits such as barking when I get over stimulated. My foster says I am an extremely fast learner but need to continue my training in my next home so that I become a perfect dog! In return for training, I will snuggle and kiss you while we watch a little TV. I am a medium to high energy Aussie and also a medium velcro.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
