My story

Buddy is in foster in Vancouver's lower mainland and looking for his forever home!
Buddy is a one year old, long lean sleek black lab cross weighing 44 lbs. He was rescued at 6 months old in tough conditions - malnourished with an untreated wound on his shoulder. Buddy is like a puppy in a nearly adolescent body. He is high energy, with a brave curiosity about the world. He LOVES people – and is very enthusiastic about that. He can jump, paw and mouth in his exuberance to become your friend. He bonds quickly, and settles most if he can be touching you, and would love to be able to snuggle with you in bed. Buddy gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with other dogs. He has shown good social greetings on and off leash, but he can be exuberant, and sometimes forgets that not every dog might have as much energy. He handicaps himself appropriately with smaller dogs. We think Buddy would like a home with another young dog to play with. Buddy is not suited for a home with cats, and because he jumps, we will look for a home with him without young kids. Buddy loves to play with toys (and lots of other things!) He would like a home with a yard where he can run and have play dates with some dog buddies.
Buddy is healthy, neutered and vaccinated. He has a permanent scar on his front arm due to the wound that he was found with. He is looking for an active home and lifestyle, and mostly he really wants to be loved.
