Maxie is a shy boy who came to us as a stray. It takes him a little time to warm up to new people but once he knows you he likes to be petted and brushed gently. He gets along with other nice cats and would be a great companion for another adult or senior kitty in your home.

Maxie is positive for FIV, similar to HIV in people. It can not be passed to other cats through casual contact, like sharing food, water, or a litter box. It can not be passed to people or other pet species. FIV positive cats can live a long and healthy life well into their teens.
