With Arthur, it's date night every night so we thought we'd start with his dating profile :)
Age - 4 years
Body type - Built, svelte and in peak condition at 75 lbs with the cutest frog face and bat ears you have ever seen!
Education - Sit, down, stay, shake, high-five, touch, sleep, the list goes on :) I am the smartest boy and can learn just about any action you ask of me!
Favorite Hobbies - Playing tug a war, cuddling, belly rubs and just relaxing on the couch with whoever will sit and love on me!
Travel - I haven't been many places but will happily get in the car and go anywhere and I ride great in the car!
Most Notable Life Achievement - I'm a good boy in the crate! I even sit and wait after the door is opened until I'm told OK.
Best thing about me - I am laid back and super smart! I am excellent in my crate, house trained and not destructive! I also take treats in the most gentle way you have ever seen!

Secret guilty pleasure - I love tiny soft squeaky toys that are meant for toy breeds
Ideal match - Low-key human who likes romps in a quiet back yard or nature walks. My ideal weekend would include laying around in our pajamas, sharing pancakes, and maybe trip to a quiet waters edge where I can splash in the tide! Did I mention I am great on a leash and love the water?
Something I'm Embarrassed by - Other dogs and cats make me really anxious. I really wish I could be ok with other animals because I am a really fun loving, goofy guy. If you are looking for a homebody of a dog who really just wants hooman love, I am your guy!!

Arthur was found by Animal Control in a rural county in VA tied to a bed frame inside an abandoned trailer. He was nothing but skin and bones and had clearly been there for a while. Through it all, he was still a happy loving silly boy! Fast forward a few months and Arthur made a full recovery! Arthur has always been beautiful to us but now he is down right gorgeous! With his pale chocolate coat and legs for days, he is a specimen to marvel! He has many wonderful things to offer his new family but above all of his good traits, the best one is his loyalty, unconditional love and joy to receive love from his family! We are looking for a home for Arthur where he can be a doggie singleton. He said not to worry, he can give you all the love you will ever need!
Arthur has been with Symbiotic for a while now and while we sure hope to find his forever home soon, we also know the lack of interest in him is due to no fault of his own. Bully breeds are notoriously overlooked even when they have a perfect profile. In the whole time with Symbiotic, Arthur has had one person want to meet him and they did love him, but decided on another one of our bully breeds who was also looking for a home. If you have a quiet life style and are looking for a best friend to come home to everyday and chill with you, Arthur could be your guy!

All dog adoptions include a required, one hour virtual session with a professional trainer. Before the day of adoption, we will schedule a one hour "go home" session for you and your family with a professional trainer from Lucky Dogs Training, during which time they will discuss tips and tricks for bringing home a new dog and answer any questions you may have!
