My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing TROY, a very handsome Pit Bull Terrier mix who is around 4-5 years of age and weighs about 48 pounds. We ran a DNA test for Troy and he is a mixture of American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, and "Supermutt". Troy is a very loving dog who wants to snuggle and be close to his foster family. He lives with two medium/small dogs and a female Pit Bull mix, as well as two children under the age of 13; he gets along with the other dogs but doesn't "need" another dog to be happy.

Troy loves playing frisbee, chasing his tennis ball, or playing with his rope toy in the fenced yard. In addition, he absolutely loves going on long walks - which he currently gets twice a day. He would make a great running/jogging partner too.

Troy is a smart dog who learns quickly and knows commands like sit, shake, down, and stay. For inside the home, Troy does best in a calm home. Troy needs a patient slow introduction with new people and new dogs because he is cautious; once he get to know a person, he loves them unconditionally. Troy's adopter will need to be a knowledgeable prior dog owner who can be a leader for Troy. He is approved for households with adults and children over 13.

This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, is current on inoculations, been tested for diseases and placed on monthly Heartworm preventative, plus neutered and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS available by request at acaringplace@comcast.net.

More about this rescue

A Caring Place, is an All Breed Dog Rescue organization that is exclusively foster based (no facility) and is volunteer run. We rescue dogs and puppies from animal control facilities, dog pounds, and other shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia. In addition we take in dogs surrendered by their owners who can or are no longer willing to care for their dog. Each dog this rescue takes in receives all medical care and treatment necessary to be healthy, and then place them into loving temporary homes (foster homes) until adopted. Without our foster care provider's, we could not save these dogs.

FOSTER CARE PROVIDERS are always needed!
