Hello my name is Padme I was taken in by another rescue and then surrender to this rescue the previous rescue I was at found me wondering the Street and took me in, where I was found is a very well-known area where people dump dogs. I was almost completely bald and severely dehydrated they tested me for Parvo and distemper and I tested positive for distemper but I’m happy to say that I am one of few dogs to survive having distemper! once cured I set out to find my own forever home but nobody wanted the dog over the age of 1, my new rescuer took me in when the previous rescue was full. If the rescuer didn’t take me in I was going to be taken to a local Humane Society that does euthanize even though they are a no kill shelter. I was kept in an outdoor cage at my previous rescue and had very little socialization so I am a little fearful of new people but after I get to know you and know that I can trust you I open up very quickly and I bond deeply with my new friends. I need a little bit more leash training and I love being outside, I tend to find one spot in the house I feel most comfortable at and sleep there. I recently saw the neighborhood kids smiling when they saw me so I taught myself how to smile! a few people don’t understand it’s not aggression but I promise I am extremely sweet and I have never nipped or bitten anyone! I would do best in a home environment that was patient and understanding that I came from a very tough background and I need time to truly feel safe and secure in my new home, I am very quiet I’m not a barker and I’m not super active but I can be in the right home. If you think I sound like the rescue dog you’d like to take a chance on please text or email my rescuer with the information listed directly above my story and request an adoption application. If approved we can meet the very same day and when you fall in love with me you can finalize the adoption and bring me home, I have waited two years to find my forever family and I hope I find them soon! I look forward to meeting you!
