My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet little Bird!

This sweet 5-6 year old gal is looking for the forever home she has always deserved!

Birdie is a rescue pup from Puerto Rico who was found by a good samaritan, dragging her little body down a highway. Luckily this person stopped after who knows how many others saw her and just drove by.

Bird is 20 pounds, fully vetted, vaccinated and ready for her forever family.

She’s great with dogs of all sizes, cats and kids. She does full "potties" when on walks but we do put a diaper on her when indoors since her injury has left her incontinent and she "leaks" sometimes. This isn’t nearly as messy as it sounds - we promise!

Birdie has been to multiple specialists and we were told that although there are no breaks to her legs or spine - she was most likely hit by a car and sustained major muscle trauma. She will always walk with a limp and be incontinent but both conditions can (and HAVE!) greatly improved with ten minute a day, at home exercise.

Birdie is currently in foster in Encinitas, CA and can be driven anywhere for meet and greets. But we DO NEED a one month foster for her SOON, as her current foster will be traveling for work. So, even if you're not ready to adopt, but have the love to giver her for a short period of time, this would greatly help her on her journey to her forever home.

You have to meet this goofy, happy pup in person. She's a special one!

Thank you!
