My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you`re a sucker for pintos, personality, and gaited horses, Bessy is your gal! This sweetheart enjoys any and all attention. Bessy was returned to Longmeadow when her previous owners had to move and could not bring her with them. She is an agreeable pasture mate and stands well for the vet and farrier! She would do best with a confident intermediate rider. She is not appropriate for beginners or timid riders. She can be a bit hesitant if the rider lacks confidence. With a confident rider, Bessy is willing to do anything. Bessy is gaited, but tends to prefer pacing over gaiting. With her solid ground manners and sweet disposition, we believe Bessy won`t last long!

Bessy tends to spook easily, and can be brought down when it happens. However, with a solid rider who can pay close attention to Bessy`s habits and help her build the confidence she lacks, we think Bessy would flourish. When her rider/handler is a good leader, Bessy is great both in the arena and on the trails outdoors! She has also been ridden bareback here at Longmeadow. This mare has tons of potential and we can`t wait to see what her future holds with the right person!
