Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET SPOT!
This handsome little hambone is named Spot! Spot is a Jack Russell Terrier (we think?) who is around 10 years old and was found as a stray on the streets of Philadelphia. We don't think he was on his own too long since he was at a healthy weight and has such a joyful, friendly disposition. Now that we've had a chance to get to know Spot and make sure he was in tiptop shape, he's now looking for the perfect forever home!
Spot loves everyone he meets! He's hoping to find a family who will love him back just as much. His hobbies include going for leisurely walks, exploring the yard in his foster home, and snuggling with his foster family on the couch. He'll never say no to an ear scratch or cuddle session. As you may have noticed, Spot has limited vision in one eye and needed to have the other removed due to untreated chronic dry eye which caused ulcerations. He requires twice daily over the counter lubricating eye drops which helps his remaining eye stays feeling good. They cost about $20-25 a month and he's very cooperative. He also takes a daily joint supplement to keep him feeling young. He has otherwise shown to be a healthy dude! Because of his limited vision, we think he'd do best in a lower key home without too much hustle and bustle, maybe with another lower key pup to keep him comfortable! He takes a bit of time to warm up to other pups but given time and an appropriate introduction, he settles in. That said, he'd also be happy to be your one and only dog! We haven't seen him around cats just yet. Spot is housebroken and easy going.
Spot is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! He is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Interested in adopting him? Visit www.cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
