Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jaicko is a 6 1/2 month old blue merle, purebred mini Aussie, currently 25lbs. He was just neutered, and is up to date on all vaccinations and on preventatives.
He didn't leave the breeder until he was almost 5 months old and went to a quiet home with no other dogs. He didn't do well in that environment and came to us 3 weeks later.
Jaicko walks well on the leash, is not afraid of vehicles or loud noises etc. He is equally confident at home, with no problem with noises, the vacuum cleaner, etc.
He is a little timid with people he doesn't know but as soon as he trusts you he is a total lovebug and wants to snuggle! He is intimidated by a raised voice.
He is working on his people skills and training. He knows several commands - sit, lie down, come, crate.
This puppy is all sweetness, eager to please and very quick to learn. He is submissive and needs someone who knows how to continue his training without intimidating him. He will sometimes submissively urinate if he is excited or unsure of what his person wants. This should stop as he gains confidence with his people.
Jaicko loves to play with other dogs, chasing and roughhousing but would not do well with an aggressive dog. He is respectful, and backs off immediately if a dog growls.
He is good with cats and loves children!
Jaicko was potty trained, but with the changes in the last month started having accidents if not let out very frequently in the day time, but is working on it. He is crate trained and uses the crate at night and when foster mom is out.
He rides in a car perfectly, with or without a crate, even on long journeys.
In the right hands, this pup will be amazing. BUT Jaicko had a false start in life, and will only go to a family who fits his needs exactly!
Jaicko's needs:
Active family with someone home most of the day. He needs activity and company.
Patience, experience with the breed and gentle but firm training. He is at the age when he could develop bad habits and fears with inexperienced owners.
Fenced yard to run and play.
At least one dog of similar size (his buddies in his foster home are 35 and 40lbs), non-aggressive, that will play with him and is not nervous or with social issues. As a puppy he would pick up the other dog's habits.
Lots of exercise, walks and going places with his people.
Snuggles, love and lots of socializing to gain his confidence with people. He is confident in all situations except with new people, so once he has his people-confidence he will be an absolute gem!
