My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"FINN" is one cool little dude. 1 yr old & 42 lbs. He is not only striking in appearance, but he is very smart, silly, playful, affectionate and incredibly devoted. Finn was a stray we rescued; the owner of the property where he was found was threatening to shoot him if he didn't get off his property ! Poor little Finn was starving; so malnourished and skinny. Finn has really blossomed while in rescue, putting on close to 10 lbs. Finn is so eager to please and takes commands so quickly with his quick mind. Finn loves to sit at your feet and hang out. He loves the companionship of other dogs, large or small (his bestie in rescue is "Camper"), and would do great as a companion dog to a good-natured, playful, less confident pooch of similar size.
Finn is fully vaccinated, de-wormed, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. Finn is not yet neutered, and feel it would be best to hold off on that surgical procedure for 2-3 more months for continual weight gain and to have a few months of robust health prior to it. This rescue does not do it's own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
