Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** EMOTIONAL SUPPORT/ASSISTANCE CANDIDATE !! **
"CAMPY" (aka'CAMPER'; aka "Redbone") is an adorable, affectionate, loving and silly 1 yr old, 45 lb. Labrador Retriever mix male pup who was rescued as a stray. Campy had been abandoned at a hunting lodge campground, and was in bad shape ... skinny, malnourished, scared and confused. And yet, he still wanted to be hugged and give kisses upon being rescued. Campy has blossomed and flourished while in rescue; gaining close to 10 lbs., having canine play buddies; and is a happy, sweet snuggle bug. Campy just spent 2 months as an emotional support animal with a triplegic caregiver, learning and excelling at walking with ease next to a mobilized wheel chair. Campy loves to be with you and sit at your feet. He is a sensitive, silly, playful tender heart, and would do great in a gentle, active home with kids over the age of 6 yrs, and a confident, good natured, playful, resident canine buddy of similar size, to help Campy continue to gain confidence and further blossom. (His 'bestie' in rescue is 'Babar'). Campy is a dear, dear sweet boy and is as cute as a button with his various expressions. Campy is neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not do it's own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
