Update from my foster 4/9: Ohana gets along great with our resident dog! She goes into her crate no problem, sleeps in it all night, is completely clean in the house and a really lovable girl.
Ohana was found as a stray roaming the streets of South Carolina. She was brought to the local shelter, where they discovered she was clearly nursing. Animal control went back to where she was found with her in an attempt to find her babies, but unfortunately none were ever found. Ohana was clearly heartbroken and spent her time in the shelter pacing her kennel and anxiously looking for her babies.
We may never know what happened to Ohana's babies, but we do know a brighter future lies ahead for her. She is now safe in a foster home and learning what it means to be a valued family member. Despite everything she's been through, Ohana is an incredibly sweet dog who is great with all the dogs, kids, and people she has met so far. She has not been around cats as of yet. We can't wait to get to know her more!
