My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our darling and beautiful girls Storm & Rain They are a bonded pair,
mother & daughter (we think) Storm is 5 years old and weighs 7.9 pounds.
Rain is 6-7 years old and weighs 6.4 pounds. They were surrendered to us by
their owner who had to move and could not take the girls with him. These
are tiny & delicate dogs that need an ADULT ONLY home. Rain has 2 disks that
are bulging and will require ongoing care. While Storm is more active and
will need someone to play with (another playful dog) and take her walking.
Rain will do well being a lap dog going for walks in a doggie sling or a
stroller. They are very sweet and loving girls! Storm is a complete love
bug! Rain is a total LAP DOG! Their best home is with a couple so they each
have their own lap to sit in. They do NOT like children! They will bark at
strangers so a home with a private yard is needed (No Apartments please)
Storm can climb a 3-4 foot fence, so an appropriate fence is a must. They
are the perfect size and temperament to go everywhere you go. They enjoy
walking on a leash and they ride well in the car. They are reported to be
house broken. Here at the sanctuary we use the command "go potty". This is a
good practice to promote good habits. They have pretty wiry coats and will
require occasional professional grooming. They are spayed, microchipped and
up to date on shots. Ready to fill your home with love? Rain and Storm are
ready for their forever home. OFFICE
If you are interested in this dog or would like more information please send me an Adoption Questionnaire
Thank you

We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.

2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.

3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org

4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/

5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
We are closed on Sundays unless you make prior arrangements and schedule an appointment
