My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a unique situation. We are looking for a Loving Forever Foster home for Captain Jack And Lily Who are extremely bonded.

If you have an abundance of love to give but are not in a position to take on the financial responsibility of adopting, this is a win win!
You supply the love and RTH will take care of medical for life as well as food and litter.

We decided to start our Forever Foster Program due to the overwhelming number of senior dogs/special needs dogs who are in need of loving retirement homes. This program all started with beautiful Tyson, who ended up in a kill shelter and lost the only family he had ever known. We found a perfect family for him, but they could not adopt him due to his extensive medical bills- and thus, the Forever Foster Program was born. Tyson had 4 wonderful years with his family, where he was loved unconditionally. We have had other dogs come through this program, which without they would have not survived. Kubo, Max, Picklefish and Birdie were 4 other special dogs who knew love, and family, because of this program .

We are now extending this program to include 2 very special cats. Captain Jack and Lily are both approximately 8 years old, extremely bonded and need a loving home where they can be together with someone who will give them time and patience. Capt'n came to us with one eye, which had been from an old injury. He will be going for a follow up with an eye specialist to address the cataract now in his other eye. Lily had come to us late at night and was scheduled to go for full vetting the following morning. We had no idea she was pregnant and this poor little girl miscarried that night. Captain had been with us for approximately 2 weeks but had been hiding the whole time. This night I heard loud crying and ran to their room. When I opened the door, Captain was there and then took off to the other side of the room as if telling me to follow. He looked back and ran to where Lily was. There was a lot of blood so I immediately panicked. Thankfully she was ok but had miscarried. The emergency vet told us to keep an eye on her as she might have others. I sat with her all night and she did lose another but thankfully was ok. From that night on, Captain never left her side. Wherever she was, Captain was right there watching over her. They sleep together, talk with one another and clean each other. I have never seen anything like this and am still amazed at how incredibly moving Captain's actions were ?

They are both sweet and will take time to feel comfortable. Captain is approximately 12 pounds. Lily is a little bit of a thing, approximately 8 pounds. They need someone who will allow them to build trust and give them attention and love. Lily loves to have her head scratched and she chirps when talking. They both love their bedtime treats. They have also been with another cat and all get along well. If someone is able to open their heart to them, ALL of their medical will be covered for life. They will also come with their favorite brand new cat tree, hammock, toys, litter boxes and beds. We will also provide monthly litter and food. We want them to have the best possible life with room to roam and play.
