My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT FINEGAN:
If you do NOT have all that is listed below, Finegan will NOT do well in your home!!:
*MUST have at least one other ACTIVE, 50+ lbs, PLAYFUL dog.
*MUST have a LARGE yard
*MUST have DOG-EXPERIENCE (Anxious dog experience is a huge plus!)
*MUST be patient, understanding, and willing to work with him so that he can show you how truly AWESOME he is!!

Finegan is 1 ½ years old and weighs about 50-60 lbs. PLEASE NOTE: The breed we have him listed as is our best guess. Your guess on his breed(s) are as good as ours.

Finegan is a VERY high energy and exuberant boy. He loves to play, play, play, and is always looking for an adventure. And if he's not had his exercise, sometimes that could mean he may go on an adventure without you... He will make a FABULOUS addition to an active person or family who's looking for a young dog to train, go on hikes with, play fetch with, and also be a companion and playmate for their already existing dogs. He requires a fully fenced and secure yard that will allow him to run in and keep him safe and secure in.

Finegan requires a bit of a specific home or else he will go a bit stir crazy if we're being brutally honest.
He does not do well being the only dog in the home. He loves all other dogs but for his sake, there absolutely must be *at least* one other dog who is active, medium-large sized, and loves to wrestle, run, and have fun for most parts of the day. The more playmates he has, the better (for not only him but for you too).
Finegan requires a LARGE yard to accommodate daily games of play with the other dog(s), games of fetch, daily zoomies, etc. Finegan does not do well in an apartment or small spaces.

Finegan also needs to work on some of his basic training (walking on a leash w/o pulling, teething, sitting on command, etc). His biggest thing is mouthing however he does very well given boundaries, structure, and a strong leader and doesn't mouth us at all but will "mouth" on anyone who allows him to do so... Finegan continues to get better everyday and is looking for a family with dog experience that is enthusiastic about continuing this training and helping him reach his full potential and be the best version of himself for you. He not only requires exercise but he also thrives on boundaries and structure.

Now with all this being said...Finegan is the most absolute LOVABLE dog you have ever met. He is a total wiggle butt, fun-loving puppy. He adores his human family just as much as his canine family. He will jump right into your lap and shower you in kisses if you let him. And once playtime is over and he's had his fill of fun, he enjoys napping on his dog bed or on the sofa next to you. He is so so so sweet and is truly going to make the RIGHT home so incredibly lucky!! He's definitely a quirky boy but so worth the patience, time, and energy.
