Jackson is a 4 year old, male, pitweileler lab something . We actually have no idea what Jackson’s mix is but it’s cute.

Jackson was surrendered to a local animal control when his owner could no longer care for him. We adopted him out but he was returned when the family had financial issues.

Jackson is a very good, gentle boy that everyone loves. He’s always up to play - especially tug-of-war and fetch! He’s always up for pets and will come up to anyone to nudge an arm for more. He knows how to “sit.” Jackson’s almost got “down” (to lay down) We’re working on “drop it”, “stay”, and “off.” He also knows “paw”.

Jackson is a people pleaser and picks up on new training quickly and is always willing to train for treats or toys.

He has never had an accident inside and very rarely barks. Jackson does need a bit of help learning not to pull when on a leash, but is gradually improving.

Some Recommendations:
We think Jackson would do best in a house, townhouse, etc with a backyard and fence to run some of his energy off or with someone who is willing and able to take him outside a lot. We also think that school age kids or older would be better with Jackson. We could see Jackson accidently knocking a younger kid down because Jackson is so happy to see them!

He loves to play fetch and know basic obedience. He really is a sweet boy happy boy that would make a very loyal friend.

If you’re interested in meeting Jackson, please fill out an application at animalheartline.org and a volunteer will contact you.
