My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTERED IN: Mokena, IL 60448
ESTIMATED DOB: 03/06/21
COLOR/BREED: Black and White Shorthair
KIDS: Unknown
DOGS: Unknown
CATS: Yes

HISTORY:
Milo was found in Ohio alone and in the rain. He was brought to Illinois to be bottle fed by a family member. When that bottle feeder struggled, they contacted us for help.

ABOUT:
Milo’s foster mom says he is fun, smart, busy, curious, and affectionate. As a typical kitten Milo loves to play with all the toys and likes to carry his “kills” around the house with him to show them off. Milo enjoys being held, but he starts to get squirmy if there is anything fun going on or if there are any noises that need to be explored. Because he was a bottle baby Milo is very used to being held and handled by people. If everyone is busy Milo is pretty good about entertaining, for better or worse.

Milo has tried his hardest to convince the resident cats that he is a ton of fun, but neither want to play with him. Based on how hard he has tried, we think he would love to live with another young, playful cat. We do not know how Milo is around children, he can still be a little bit nibbly so he would likely do best with older children who can tolerate some naughty kitten behaviors.

Bottle babies sometimes have quirks related to not having their mom around for long. Milo’s is that he likes to knead it and suck on fleece fabric, so his adopter should be prepared to have at least one fleece blanket for this cute guy.

We generally recommend that kittens be adopted into homes in pairs (when available) or into a home with another playful cat so that they have someone to play with to help keep them out of mischief. Milo would probably love being adopted into a home with a social cat or dog, but we think he would be ok as an only pet as long as his adoptive family is committed to giving him the attention and enrichment that kittens require.
