Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Kane!
Kane is believed to be 1-year-old pitbull terrier mix. Kane came to rescue after being found as a stray taking shelter in an abandoned house's porch mid-winter during a snow storm in a not-so-nice neighborhood in Indianapolis. Apparently he was there for days taking shelter from the storm and resting from injuries that were consistent with dog fighting. It's believe Kane escaped and hid after he was injured. His injuries and muzzle strap were consistent with that of a bait dog. It's been 7 months and, well, look at him now! Unsure at first, now a very sweet boy who loves all humans. Kane lived a hard life and. due to obvious reasons, Kane is not ready to be around other dogs nor cats so a home as an only pet is what he needs.
Kane is kid friendly but because of his size (all muscle too) and his puppy energy, it's best that kids are 12 years and older (possibly younger depending on the individual adopter). Kane needs a fully fenced-in yard, 6 feet for safety. Daily walks and the occasional car ride here and there is a must. This sweet, people-loving pup loves toys, puzzles, treats and absolutely enjoys his daily training sessions.
Kane is house and crate trained. He is also extremely food motivated. He is a great couch potato pup, especially during not-so-great weather when a walk is not enjoyable.
Training is an ongoing process that has to be worked on daily. New issues/opportunities show up daily that have to be addressed and/or rewarded. Continued training is required.
Kane is available through Lucci's House Bully Rescue. Adoption application and more information can be found on the Lucci's House Bully Rescue website, www.luccishouse.org.
