My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Mrs. Hyde. I'm a domestic shorthair, 3 years old, 12 lbs, & I have an all black coloring.

I used to be called Mr. Hyde when I first came here, but let's just say they learned some different information after a while. I don't fault them for it, I have been a bit of a witch at times since coming here.

*A WITCH!? How DARE you say that about us! About ME! I don't know about you, fool, but I'm a blast to be around thank you very much! I don't have an evil bone in my body! You think just 'cause you're smart & use words that have more than like 5 letters you're like a fricken' doctor or something!?*

~Ahem~ Excuse me, I apologize for that outburst. Anyway, I didn't let anyone touch me for a couple of weeks! While I've gotten better over time, I still have my days when I don't like people touching me. I'm quite back & forth when it comes to my attitude. You could say it's a bit of a split personality. I guess it was a fitting name after all, hmm? I'm a sensitive girl is all. Sure I like to come up & say "Hello!" every now & then, socialize & discuss philanthropy. Things like that, but I also need my space from time to time, just like anyo--

*HEY!! BACK OFF BUCKO!! Did I say you could scratch behind my ear? Get out of my face! I can't even look at you right now. Come talk to me later when I'm hungry. Then I'll have use for you. Until then you're of no use to me, human!*

Again, my apologies. Please, let us return to our conversation. As I was saying, I'm affectionate most of the time, but I do have some triggers that can set me off every so often. Usually It's other cats. I lived with one in the past, but in my time here I've developed a sense of distrust with the other cats around the place, we don't get along too well.

*Don't get along!? I HATE those other cats! They're evil! EVIL I tell you! Get them away, away, away!!!*

So It would be best if I went to a home without other animals, just to be safe. I haven't been around young children too much, but it might be better to take caution & only have me go to a home with someone who's a bit older & not too bothersome to animals, in case I have an episode. You understand.

*Kids are stupid!*

Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll return to my kennel. I've had quite the exhausting day, & I need my beauty rest. If you're interested in making me your new companion, I've been altered & my ovaries removed to prevent any future mishaps. As well as been vaccinated for the rabies virus. So I'll be ready to depart for my new home whenever you're ready! Good day!

*Just take me home already, would ya? I'm sick of this dang place. I've gotta sit behind these iron bars all day. What is this, prison? Solitary confinement? I'm not crazy I tell ya! I'M NOT CRAZY!!*
