Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blackberry is a solid, strong, and handsome young Tuxedo male. Approximately one year old, he loves to hang out with and be loved on by his caregiver. The way Blackberry shows he’s excited to see you when you return home, is by running around and rolling all over the floor. He plays with his toys, gets his thrills off catnip, and enjoys watching all the birds and squirrels pass by from his window seat. Blackberry will give you kisses and reach out for pets. After a short introduction period, he became great with other cats. In fact, the other foster cats in the home seemed to help him adjust to his new environment.
Blackberry was surrendered to CACC when his owners moved into an apartment that does not accept pets. He found himself in the shelter with barking dogs and an unsure ending. The shelter was full, and this poor guy ended up on the urgent list. That meant euthanasia was in his near future and we stepped in to save him.
Blackberry is a beautiful, sweet, and gentle cat. He needs an adopter that understands he is still unsure if his new place is for furrever. Like most cats, he is reserved in new surroundings at first. But he is a nice, friendly boy who deserves a home that shows him he will never be left behind again. He is great with other cats; but we are unsure about dogs. Our feeling is that kids might be a little overwhelming for him.
