Evita is an affectionate, easy-going girl who loves belly rubs and loves people. She was abandoned on the streets and our sister rescue in Mexico took her into their shelter to care for her. She was in bad condition and after a thorough vetting it was discovered she was Heartworm positive and did have the full HW treatment, however, her heart has been damaged. She will require medication for the rest of her life at a cost of approximately $225.00 every 6 months.

Evita would be fine as an only dog or with another equally respectful calm male dog or cat companion. She is always keen to go for a walk and believe she can be considered house-trained, because there have been NO accidents at the shelter.

Leash training is a work in process, nonetheless we are sure once she finds a home she will show promise at learning this new skill. She loves children and she would make a great companion for a family for a medium energy family as she cannot go for long hikes or runs due to her heart condition.

A home with a fenced backyard would be ideal for her. She has not barked that much at the shelter but we prefer a house where she could have a spot to run.

If you think Evita is a good fit for you, please fill out an adoption application at https://allpawsmatter.ca/adoption-application/

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
