My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome gentleman came to us by way of LaBelle Animal Control, as they were low on space. Barney would need to be the only animal in your home, as he wants all of the attention! He loves people, including kids, but is not a huge fan of other animals. No dog parks for this guy!

We would love to find a forever home for this nice guy. Why not make an appointment to visit him!

My ideal home:
I'd need to be the only pet in your home! An active, younger family would be best!
I'm good with:
Young Children Older Children Men Women
I'm not good with:
Most Other Dogs Cats

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
