Meet Louie. This handsome, snuggly, and friendly Black Lab mix boy is just under 6 months old. Best guess, only a guess, is he’ll be in the 45-55 Lb range full grown. He is going to be an awesome Pacific Northwest adventure buddy.
He’s got a nice medium energy level for a puppy. He does well with other dogs, and with respectful kids. Cats are an unknown, but being on the submissive side he might be ok with a dog savvy cat.
Louie responds well to treats and affection when training. He already knows sit and down. His stay and wait are improving, and he’s getting a good handle on house training as long as he’s taken out for regular potty breaks. Some basic training classes and a little more leash work will really polish of his skill set.
While puppies are adorable, keep in mind they need a lot of guidance, commitment, and a whole lot of time and patience. They need continued socialization, help with house training, and outlets for youthful energy. Underdog Railroad HIGHLY recommends puppy socialization and training classes to get an adopter started off in the right direction with their new family member.
Louie has had a recent vet check and negative fecal, he is neutered, will be microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $480. He is being fostered in NE Portland.

Meets are part of the Underdog adoption process and will take place outside. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually. Additionally all paperwork, including adoption contract signatures, can be done through email. Thank you for choosing to adopt and not shop!
