My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Up for adoption in Texas: Honey Bee.

This smart, sweet and spunky girl wrote her own bio for you all to read!

"I am a two-year-old, 67 pound, girl that loves people, toys, treats and play time. Did I mention how much I love to play? I play well with my foster dog friends as long as they also want to play. I can even play with small dogs as long as they aren't scared by my size. One of my foster friends is a five-pound Yorke. So far I've done well around cats of all sizes, even kittens. I hear people say things like, "make sure the cat is used to being around dogs," so that sounds like an important tidbit.

When I was rescued, I didn’t have the best manners and I can be rambunctious at times. I've been working with a great trainer on my good manners and she tells me I'm a very smart girl. Because I'm so smart I would do really well with a job such as picking up balls and bringing them to a box. Yes, a dog who might pick up her own toys! I love to be engaged and having fun activities to do. My trainer said she will continue working with me and my forever family after my adoption.

My trainer says I am sensitive to meeting new people and to fast movements. You might understand if you see the scar on my snout. When we meet, be patient, move slowly and I'll come to you. We might just have a love connection.

I ride well in the car. And walk well on a leash so I'm sure there are lots of adventures we can go on together. I am crate trained. I sleep in my crate and stay in my crate when my foster family is at work. My crate is my refuge and It helps me understand when play time is over for a little while. It's important that my forever family understands the benefits of my crate time.

As with most dogs, I LOVE PAPER and can be very CURIOUS. If you have napkins, paper towels, or tissues within my reach, I may decorate the house with confetti. I'm pretty tall and still working on counter surfing so please be patient with me and set me up for success by keeping tempting things out of my reach.

My ideal home would be an active family that is home a lot and wants to walk, play and go on adventures, and a dog sibling matching my energy level to play with me. A fenced yard to run, play and release energy. Because of my size and puppy-like behaviors, kids 13+ are best.

Honey Bee is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and housebroken. Apply at www.LuckyLabRescue.com!
