Wimpy may seem a bit meek and mild when he’s in a group but we assure you that he is much more than his name implies. Wimpy came from a home with many cats. He is used to blending in with the crowd and flying under the radar. However, when you give him some individual attention, you can see his personality slowly come to the surface. He has a soft purr and loves to have his neck scratched. We think he will do better and flourish as an individual cat, but he would also be ok to be adopted with a friend. He would do best in a home without dogs and children. Wimpy is currently staying at the Petsmart in Carlisle if you’d like to stop by and say hi. He is very shy with all the activity there but he warms up with a little patience and petting.
All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are:
Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125
Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100
Seniors (8+ years) = $80

If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process.
Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Furry Friends Network provides our foster homes with food, litter, crates/carriers as needed and miscellaneous other supplies as well as veterinary care.
