Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you're looking for a ready-made addition to your family, Ginger is it! Ginger is six years old, and although we don't know exactly what breed she is, we think she's a Corgi/Labrador mix because she hav the cutest, shorter-than-normal legs! Her previous owner had her since she was a puppy, but was unable to keep her for personal reasons. Ginger is very well house-trained and gets along with dogs, cats and people! She is a bit shy with new people, but she warmed up to her foster family within the first few days and now wags her whole body when we come home! Ideally, her new family (and especially any children!) would understand that she needs a little time to come out of her shell. Although Ginger loves to go on her daily walks to the park, she is a fairly low-energy dog and her favorite activity is snuggling, whether it's in the crook of your knees as you nap, or on your feet while you watch TV (see attached picture). She is good in the car and on a leash, and just lies in her bed, awaiting your return when you leave! I haven't had to crate her in the house, as she is not destructive, although she has been in a crate before and doesn't seem to mind. She is about 48 lbs, spayed, and up-to date on all of her vaccines. While Ginger gets along with every dog she has met so far and loves her foster brother, she has been an only dog all of her life, and a home without other dogs. While Ginger is fairly calm outside, a home with a fenced yard would be ideal as she loves squirrels! Ginger is honestly a wonderful, easy-going dog that would make a great addition to a quieter household. If you have any questions about her, big or small, please e-mail Kate (her foster home) at kaight@gmail.com
