Here's what the humans have to say about me:
2018 Chestnut (turning gray) Thoroughbred Mare, 15.1h
Colerful Chrome (affectionately known as Pink) is a 2018 daughter of California Chrome who never raced. “Pink” lost her eye in the first year of her life in a pasture accident and later had tracheal surgery, which ended her possible racing career. Thankfully Pink was supported by “The People’s Horse”, a group of people who were involved in the decision to breed California Chrome to the mare, Colerful Bride, and they helped her find a home here at the KyEAC.
Pink is one of the sweetest mares at the Center and is a very people-friendly girl. She always comes up to say 'hi' to visitors and has great ground manners. Near the end of 2020, Pink had her first ride under saddle and reacted incredibly positive to the experience. Pink is currently on training hold, but once she graduates, we think she will be a lovely horse to bring along as a riding partner.
