Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fozzie is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Fozzie was dumped at someone's ranch out in the middle of nowhere. He is a Lhasa Apso - might be a mix - around 2 or 3 years of age and weighing 20 pounds. Potential adopters must be familiar with the Lhasa Apso breed. Fozzie is a typical very smart and stubborn Lhasa. He needs time to learn to trust someone, and even then he can be stubborn. Fozzie hates grooming and can only be adopted by someone who can afford to have him sedated every time he needs to be groomed. Once he gets to know you, he is a sweet loving playful dog. But he will let you know if he doesn't like something. He does get better about things with time (letting us clean eye gunk). This is not a dog for a home with small children. Fozzie is a happy, affectionate, and playful boy. He likes walks and playing with toys - balls, squeaky toys, rawhide chews. Fozzie is crate trained and well-behaved in the house, but he may need additional work with house training. Other obedience training may be needed. Fozzie does well with most other dogs but does hate a mastiff mix we have. Therefore, he will need to be stopped from getting into altercations with big dogs that can hurt him. Fozzie must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash would like a securely fenced yard to run and play.
Fozzie is healthy. He has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-free. Fozzie is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and receiving monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Fozzie has a $500.00 adoption fee that includes ground transport via Mightly Mutt Shipping for pickup in White River Junction VT. He is being fostered in Texas and will not be sent north until after he is adopted. Please email 2 Many Dogs Rescue for an adoption application if you are interested in adopting Fozzie.
