My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

These two best pals have been waiting patiently at our rescue for 3 long years. They may be seniors, but still have so much love and joy to offer their future family. Quirky may have a bit of a “quirky” personality, but that's just part of her charm. They both are quick when it comes to making friends. They enjoy their independence and love to spend their days lounging, but also appreciate a good sniff outside. Their activity level is on the chill side, making them the perfect couch potato companions. This adorable little duo would thrive in a calm and quiet home with adults who understand their unique personality. They may not be the most outgoing pups, but they have a clever and easygoing nature that will surely win you over.To meet me, please fill out an adoption application on https://www.hartrescue.com/adoption-process

More about this rescue

HART’s board is comprised of Houston-area people who have long been active in dog rescue, and who want to make a difference in outcomes for stray dogs and those surrendered to local shelters. We are a kennel-based system built on a beautiful property in Tomball, Texas.

Rescued dogs are fully vetted and, when ready, adopted out on-site at the facility, or through meetings with fosters. HART also coordinates with shelters in the northern U.S. to find homes for dogs that aren’t adopted locally. Additionally, HART provides information, education and community advocacy to improve animal welfare, via adoption and fundraising events, visits to schools, and through social media. We are working with a dedicated group of volunteers to reaffirm that Houston has a terrific HART.
