My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet old lady is Muffin. Muffin is about 9 years old (DOB 3/4/12). She has one blue eye and one green eye, making her unique :) We are currently considering Muffin to be on hospice due to her mast cell tumors that are incurable and do not respond to treatment. She may have many more years of life or she may need more end of life veterinary care within months/weeks. She is the cutest lady and was actually overweight when she came in but now she is down to a healthy 10 pounds. She loves people and hanging out with her cat friends. Muffin loves attention and will pat at you if you stop petting her, it's so funny! She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and micro chipped. She is comfortable and does not seem to be bothered or uncomfortable about anything. She is the happiest lady and her adoption fee is a minimum donation of $15.

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid. Adoptions will stop a half hour before we close, at 5:30pm M-F and 3:30pm Saturday.
