My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Karyn - Female, Papillon, 05/31/13, 8 Pounds

Spayed
Microchipped
UTD on Vaccinations
Bordetella
Flea/Heartworm Preventative
No heart or other health issues

Precious Karyn spent her early years breeding & that is all behind her now. She has been completely vetted, spayed, & is ready to find a family to love her. Because of her past, she will need a quiet home with patience to allow her to learn how be comfortable & feel safe.

She will need a very secure physical fenced yard that is escape proof. She has done well with her introduction to leash training but will require much time & encouragement to get good at it. Karyn is a typical Papillon, she is a climber, bouncer, & jumper! For her safety, Karyn is crated when her foster family is away. Karyn is crate trained, although she prefers to have a suite mate when she needs to be crated.

Karyn is really working on housetraining, but it is a work in progress. She will need encouragement & opportunity to be successful. It is vital her family is prepared to provide positive reinforcement to encourage her to continue her progress.

This sweet girl gets along with other dogs her size but is also just as happy as being the only one that gets the attention as she does love to be held and petted. She likes to use her foster brother as a ladder, lol. She will "crawl" on his back to be able to reach her foster mom for pets. She is brave & getting more confident by the day; she will approach and ask to be held or petted. She really likes to lay in your lap, but if a lap is not available, she will snuggle at your feet & have a little nap.
