My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shep says “If you’re happy and you know it Let’s play BALL!! Or go for a hike, or take a nap and snuggle. Let’s just hang out!! Kayaking is fun as well!!

This handsome 4.5 year old fellow is looking for a partner to love and play with. He is neutered and fully vetted. Shep loves to play fetch, tug or go for walks/hikes. He makes friends with a select few other dogs so a meet and greet is a must. Cats don’t love him as he plays to rough although he doesn’t try to harm.

Shep is incredibly intelligent and so willing to learn. He is good on leash, know basic commands, and has good recall.

A gentle soul and positive reinforcement is always best as he came from an abusive situation at a young age. He aims to please and the more love the better. As always, we recommend a basic obedience class or follow up to assist in the bonding process and to insure both humans and dogs are on the same page.

He would love to have a fenced yard to play with you safely. However, an avid runner or hiker would find that long daily excursions will meet his exercise needs from a yard less home. Underground fences or tie outs are NOT an option for him.

Shep is both crate and house trained. He is available to areas within a reasonable driving distance.

Kids over 12 that are respectful of the pups only.
