My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Tank. I’m a big guy and I aboslutely love people. I may sit for a treat, I will shake your hand, and I will definitely give you a hug...and don’t worry, I won’t knock you over because I can be gentle. I want to be your sidekick so if there is room for me next to you, I will likely be right there. I can be a bit selective with other dogs, well, primarily just other male dogs and sometimes small dogs, so I’ll need to for sure meet any other fur buddies you want me to live with. I’m not sure if I have met cats, but guessing if I have or did, I might just want to chase them so it would likely be best that I go to a home with no cats. I do pretty well walking on a leash with whoever is walking me, just remember, I am strong and might pull you along a bit because there is just so much for me to see! I’m a fairly good traveler, I do have to be told to sit down because I like to stand in the backseat and supervise your driving. I really am a fun, lovable guy and would love a home where we can pal around, enjoy the outdoors, and chill on the couch watching some tv (sports are my fav!). I have a sad story to tell about my past, I was brought in to s shelter after someone shot me with a bow & arrow, it went right through my back leg. Let me tell you, that really hurt, and I didn't understand why anyone would ever want to hurt me. I'm just glad I'm all healed up from that and now I have the best days ahead of me! Tank is a Red Heeler mix, weighs 61 and was born approximately 5-1-18. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventive. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
