My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy Rae
2 year old smooth Black & Tan Dachshund
Resident dog and securely fenced yard a requirement.
Adoption donation $500

Check out this little "Rae" of sunshine! Daisy Rae is a fun 2 year old smooth black and tan dachshund cuddle bug. Daisy had a rough start to life coming from a commercial breeding facility, but now she is spayed, fully vetted, had a dental and is ready to have some fun in life.
Daisy Rae enjoys sitting in your lap, getting belly rubs and collecting "stuff" (she is quite the blanket horder!) And if she finds a warm basket of towels she is literally all in. She loves walks (and does great on a leash!), playing with toys and then cuddling on the couch.
Daisy is still working on potty training and is doing well on crate training. She makes a little fuss at night in her kennel but then settles to bed. She is very treat motivated, so that helps with her training.
Daisy Rae loves her dog friends and will need a resident dog to continue to help her adjust to life outside the commercial breeding industry. She loves playing with her dachshund foster brothers, so a playful canine sibling is preferable. Daisy likes to bark at cats, so no feline friends. She is an agile little girl and can climb a low fence, so a securely fenced yard is needed.
Daisy Rae is shy with new people and tries to protect her new foster home. (I mean, who can blame her as she sure doesn't want to give up all the new soft, fun things she's discovered!)
Daisy is sweet, loving, playful girl, ready to brighten someone's life.

Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
