Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chevy
11 month old Dachshund
Fenced yard and playful resident dog a must!
Respectful kids OK
Adoption donation $600
You better have your engine revved if you want to keep up with Chevy! Chevy is a 1 yr old (born 6/19/20) smooth red dachshund recently released from a commercial breeding facility. He is a bundle of energy, always on the go! He loves wrestling, running, playing with squeaky toys and has recently decided chewing is a fun activity. You will need to keep an eye on this pup and keep him busy or he will definitely get into mischief.
Chevy is doing great on his potty training as long as you take him outside regularly. He is doing well with his crate training and is learning that he gets a treat if he jumps into his kennel at bedtime. (He absolutely loves cheese, so that helps with his training!)
Chevy loves his dachshund foster siblings. He really wants someone to play with and will pester the other dogs in the house if they won't play. A resident dog is required to help show him the ropes in his new home and to play with so he can burn off some of his excess energy. He will do best in an active house that can keep him busy and wear him out.
Once you finally tire him out, Chevy is a very loving little guy that will climb into your lap for cuddles. He's an absolute love bug.
Start those engines and apply for Chevy today!
Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
