My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the very enthusiastic Hank, a 3-year old neutered male Labrador Retriever mix.

Hank’s back story includes a rescue from a country road where he’d been left with all his belongings—a crate, a blanket, a leash and a full bag of dry kibble.

Since then Hank has been lovingly accepted into a foster home that includes four dogs and a couple of cats. He mostly likes his dog companions. He’s spent time at a training facility learning good manners and the skills needed to rebuild his confidence.

Hank is a very loyal, smart dog with lots of love to give. Typical of a young Labrador, he also has lots of energy. He loves to play with toys, other dogs and with humans. Hank is crate trained!

An ideal home for Hank would include a big yard with a dog or two, preferably females, to play with and a strong human leader. He’s good with cats that stand their ground. It would also be best if the home did not include small children or elderly people. Hank is too rambunctious and energetic for them, but teenagers would be great companions for him.
