Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hello to Lucy! This charming little girl is a unique character. She won’t win any awards for successfully doing her business on the wee pad every time, as she doesn't have the best aim. She’s not a fan of dogs her own size or smaller than her (she’s a little under 9 lbs) but does OK with dogs a bit larger than her (no large breeds please, due to her small size and diminished hearing. No small children for the same reason). She won’t hear you call her name unless you whistle. She had a bilateral TECA in 2019 to remove her ear canals and the terrible masses causing her a lot of pain so she is mostly deaf. She tends to be a little vocal when she is left alone, so apartment/attached living is not the best fit for her.
So what will this quirky little spitfire give you? Only every ounce of love her little heart can muster. Lucy loves people, all people, more than anything else. You’ll need to reserve a spot for her under the blankets at night for her as she weasels her way to the perfect spot to stay warm. She’ll let you dress her up with no objection, into any of the numerous outfits she has. Lucy will call shotgun on any car ride you want to take and she walks beautifully on a leash once you’re on the move. She’ll give you endless kisses with her absurd tongue and look at you with her beautiful soulful eyes filled with pure love.
Lucy is by no means perfect. She requires some patience as is common with her breed, but what she gives in return with her unconditional love and adorable personality, makes up for all of it.
Lucy is approximately 9.5 years old, up to date on vaccinations, and spayed. She eats like a champ and enjoys treats. She’s looking for a home with someone home more often than not and a fenced in yard so she can have frequent bathroom breaks. She does well with cats, but is picky about her canine roommates. If you are interested in this little bundle of love, please put in an application.
