My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gretel's Barksy! He is an adorable 6 week old Lab mix puppy. We know this litter's mom (Gretel) but we do not know their dad, therefore their breed is simply a guess! (A picture of Momma is included on this puppy's listing. We do not know her breed.)  We do know these cute bundles of joy are absolutely smart, loving and perfection!  The The puppies are in foster care and they are great with other dogs, love people of all ages, and are young enough to learn about cats.  They have been raised by their wonderful Mom, Gretel, and foster family since birth.  Since these puppies are young babies,  they'll require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training - no exceptions! (This includes after COVID.)   These puppies are now accepting applications but will not be ready to go home until they are 8 weeks of age on June 4, 2021.    The puppies are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will need to be spayed/neutered at the age of 6 months.

** Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Townhomes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old.**

***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Lovepaws***

***We do not place puppies in homes with children under the age of 5 years***

The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered as well as a $100 spay/neuter deposit at the time of adoption. This fee $100 fee will be returned to the adopter once proof of the spay/neuter has been provided to Lovepaws.

***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***

Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.***
