My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

UPDATE 5/20/21: Two-year-old Redbone coonhound, Redd is truly an American gentleman (or should we say gentlemutt). He is good-natured, calm when needed, but also enjoys a rousing good time when it is appropriate. This fellow has enjoyed moments with a senior citizen and also a youngster of 6. He seems to love all humans.  And though Redd hasn’t spent time with other dogs at the foster-care provider's home, he acted friendly toward her medically challenged Shih Tzu when they met with a fence between them.

Redd is as red as the good earth of Virginia and his dashing coat is easy to keep in tip-top condition. He has a well-toned body and weighs in at 65 pounds. Redd is tired of being a world explorer, and you can tell he is looking for his own comfortable home with people who love him.

He already has a respectful attitude and is a good car passenger, is settled when in a crate, and is ready to learn any etiquette required.

The best home for Redd would have a secure fence, a family who has time and wants a dog who will be interactive in their lives. Since we don't know how he is with cats, that is an unknown.
