Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Nova!
This sweet and spunky girl has been in our rescue since January of 2021. Soon after we got her we noticed her developing signs of pregnancy... turned out she was pregnant! Nova had 8 puppies on Valentine’s Day 2021. They have since been adopted, and now it is mama Nova’s turn!
Nova was also diagnosed with megaesophagus making it challenging for her to digest and absorb nutrients from food as she should. Nova has been working with her dedicated foster family, our vet and trainer to help get her acclimated to eating in an upright position and the Bailey chair. We are doing the hard work so she will be acclimated and desensitized to eating this way for her future adopters! We have seen her gain weight, become more active and playful, and ready to find her forever home. She is house trained, has the potential to be with other dogs after a proper introduction and decompression but would be more then happy to be an only dog. Nova is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Her Mage E is managed with soft foods, eating in a Bailey chair and drink water from an elevated bowl.
She has also had her DNA test done which shows: American Staffordshire Terrier, Cane Corso, Greyhound, Labrador Retreiver, Bichon Frise and Belgian Malanois.
Nova is doing great and will live a full happy life!
