My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Minerva was rescued after her kittens were found wandering around a backyard in Bushwick with the intent to have her nurse and wean them and return her as she was at first thought to be feral. Quite the opposite! The sweet, chill girl opened up to her rescuers soon asking for pets and belly rubs on her own! A welcomed surprise since one of her babies was very attached to her and needed some extra mom time this year.

This sweetheart greets her rescuers at the door to the foster room each time they come in, welcoming them with the adorable kitten-like chirps she has. She follows them around, rubs against legs, and frequently begs to be given lots of head scratches and affection. Minerva may have been dumped as a kitten, so she is still getting used to some elements of affection like kisses or being held - her person will be patient, calm, and understanding of her journey with the intent to continue it. We believe she will be an excellent reading/Netflix companion for her human and will continue to blossom as a lovebug. Minerva is somewhat interested in toys but is much more interested in getting affection and attention from humans, laying on soft blankets and beds, and she's extremely content to people and bird watch out a window.

Minerva is about 2 years old, spayed, up to date on shots, FIV/FeLV negative. She has done well with kittens and seems interested in other cats, but wouldn't mind being the only cat in the house. She has not been dog tested or child tested.
