Hi there! My name is Muffin, and I'm a friendly, affectionate, playful, active, curious silver tabby DSH lass who was born in November 2021. My favorite spot is on the sofa next to Foster Meowmy as I luxuriate in head rubs and petting. Although I'm not a lap cat (yet), I show my delight at Meowmy's "loving on" me by turning on my purr motor, which sounds like a perking coffee pot. That said, I do not like to be picked up or held.
I get along fine with the friendly dogs and cats in my foster home, but since they're not still kids, I entertain myself by batting around catnip mice, balls with bells, and feather toys. Of course, I love it when Meowmy entices me with wand toys.
I'm a curious girl who likes to run around the house to explore everything. (Except I'm a wimp when I hear loud noises and run for cover. But it's not long before I'm out investigating again.) The cat tree is my favorite piece of furniture. I love to climb up and down it as well as scratch the sisal posts.
I showed up at the feeding station of some outside cats in the neighborhood. They were mean and chased me away. Since I couldn't eat their food, I was underweight when my Foster Meowmy scooped me up and brought me inside to safety. That was the beginning of a whole new chapter in my life -- plenty of wet and dry food, water, as well as dry, soft beds -- a delightful kitty bed and breakfast venue!
Although I like it here in my foster home, I know what's best is for me to have a home of my own that I don't have to share with a menagerie of dogs and cats. So I'm hoping that my angelic face and hardscrabble story has plucked your heart strings so that you'll arrange to meet me today. I can't wait for you to guess the decibels of my purr motor. I just know I'll love the way you'll scratch my chin!
