Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We rescued Lucy as a kitten from Siloam Springs, AR. She was born in the last week of September 2011. She has been spayed and declawed on the front paws and is kept strictly indoors. As a kitten and young cat, she struggled with food allergies. After many different food trials, we settled on Hills Science Diet indoor cat food for her and it has been a good fit for years now.
We are needing to find a new home for her as ours has become too stressful for her. We have 3 small children (under the age of 5) and while they are kind to her, it is too loud and chaotic for Lucy. We also have recently moved into a new house and location, and Lucy has struggled to adjust to the new house as we had lived in our previous home almost her entire life. Those things combined have caused Lucy to start licking her skin raw, so she is currently on an anxiety medication twice a day. Our vet is now recommending that Lucy be placed in a new home as we are unable to give her the calm environment her anxiety levels require. Despite her stress, Lucy is not aggressive towards anyone; however, it would be best for her to be in a kid free home or in one with older kids at least. She also would be best being the only animal in the home.
Lucy is an independent cat who doesn't ask much of you. She likes to sleep in the sun and have her face and neck rubbed. In the winter, she will cozy up and sit on you anytime you sit down. She loves to drink water out of the faucet when given the opportunity. 🙂 She has been a good cat to our family and we are sad to let her go, but want to give her what she needs in order to live a good life for the rest of her days.
