Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This helps Ashtabula County Animal Protective League with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looking for a super-sweet companion with excellent house manners?
Meet 7-year old Winnie, an APL staff favorite with a mellow disposition who enjoys attention, going for car rides, and snuggling with stuffies. During home visits with volunteers, Winnie is a perfect guest. She is housebroken, polite, playful, and cuddly. She can be a picky eater but is motivated by yummy treats (and tends to gain weight easily).
Winnie is good on a leash but may pull when excited. Winnie has the potential to be a wonderful therapy dog, as she is super-friendly, but not overly so, and is great with kids.
She is choosy about dog friends, so a meet and greet with existing dogs in the home would be required. Cats are unknown.
Winnie has been at the shelter for 5 months and is ready to join a home that is looking for a loving cuddle bug to add to the family!
If you are interested in meeting Winnie or another adoptable at the APL, complete an application at acapl.org. You can also walk through the shelter from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesdays through Saturday or call to make an appointment at 440.224.1222. Adoption counselors are available to help you!
