My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact Annette (alr20@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Shay is such a character! She likes to play and chase things around, particularly anything that drops on the floor:  a blueberry, a paperclip, even a piece of lettuce! She's mostly good with other kitties, as long as they're not aggressive toward her.

Shay is very outgoing and friendly and will, from time to time, climb into her foster mom's lap for a quick cuddle. She's affectionate and greets her foster mom at the front door when she comes home.

Shay is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped and has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. For more details on this lovable, young girl, contact her foster mom Annette (that's me) in Harrisburg at alr20@comcast.net. To start the adoption process, please complete an online adoption application.

Additional adoption info

We offer an online adoption application at www.castwaycritters.org. We do check references, vet references, and housechecks. Once you are approved, you will be required to fill out an adoption agreement. Our animals have all been wormed, altered and vaccinated. Cats have been tested for FIV/FeLV. For more information, see our website at www.castawaycritters.org.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our animals are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.

Please also check out our events page on our website as fosters sometimes bring their available animals out to meet people!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue group that takes in stray, abandoned, and sick animals, giving them medical and foster care until available for adoption. We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics to the public and a special program called Operation CatNIP for pet cats of low income qualified individuals and feral cats, and assist in TNR for cats.
