Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet, healthy, senior Yorkie is Turbo. He is 15 years old and weighs 14 pounds. Turbo is being fostered in Zephyrhills, FL.
Due to Covid dogs being fostered in Florida needs to be adopted within the state of Florida.
UPDATED BIO 05/12/2021: Turbo came into UYR approximately 3 weeks ago - his owners were no longer able to care for him since he needed some medical attention. Turbo has had all his vaccinations updated as well as a dental where he lost 13 teeth, and a bundle of benign fatty growths on his neck were removed. The vet confirmed that he is in very good health for his age. Once he has finished his course of antibiotics, he will be ready to go to his forever home. Turbo also had a fatty growth removed over his eye and on his underside.
Turbo is a senior fella who is very active and smart - he is house-trained and will let his foster mom know when he needs to go out. Don't let his age scare you from giving this precious boy his forever home. Foster mom says that he is super sweet and gets along great with everyone, and also with other household pets, both dogs and kitty cats. He loves going on walks and is great riding in the car. Turbo is such a good boy, easy to care for, and will make a great addition to his forever home. He is an active little boy who acts much younger than his age - there is surely a lot of life and love left in this precious little man.
Please don't turn away from Turbo since he is a senior dog. Senior dogs - like senior people - still need love, companionship and the desire to give/receive love. Senior dogs have so much love to give. Once you have had a senior dog in your home, you will realize what a blessing it is to both you and the dog. Turbo's surgery was $500 +; if his story has touched your heartstrings, please consider making a donation to UYR to help with his vet bills so that we can continue to take in medically needy dogs like Turbo.
