Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Malcolm is an 8-month old Australian Cattle Dog/Corgi mix. His personality is 100% heeler. He is an absolute sweetheart with loads of energy.
He is making great progress in potty training and sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He loves walks but is reactive to other dogs and some cars, and will need to continue training to work on this. He is also very food motivated which helps his training. He gets along well with his foster sister dog, and loves all people. He is very attached to his people and will follow you everywhere, often almost tripping you he’s so close. He is excellent in the car, sitting quietly. He also does great on outings.
His ideal home is an active one. He would suit an active, outdoorsy family, but would also thrive on a farm or doing agility work. His heeler instincts are strong, so he needs a strong leader who is experienced with herding dogs to continue his training. He LOVES to play ball, and will go until you stop him. With adequate exercise and mental stimulation, he will nap under your desk while you work or cuddle up on the couch with you.
He should have at least one owner who is at home a majority of the time to provide him with the exercise and training he requires.
Because he is still working on nipping and jumping, children in the home should be older and/or experienced with the breed. He will herd children running around the yard. His ideal canine companion is another active dog that can run around and play with him, but who can also tell him when they have had enough, without aggression.
Malcolm is a curious, affectionate, and very smart dog. He has a big heart, and wants to be a part of the family. He has a lot of love to give!
He is neutered and UTD on all vaccinations and on preventatives.
